Clarence P. Gandy

  Clarence P. Gandy, 72, of Hornbeck, died Jul 11, after a short illness. Survivors
include his wife, Lena Gandy of Hornbeck; two sons, C. P. Gandy Jr. of Norwalk, Conn.,
and Bobby J. Gandy of Marrero; three daughters, Mildred David of Ruston, Maxine Summerell
of Ferriday, and Carolyn Williams of Lake Charles; a stepson, Perry Cooly of Long Beach,
Calif.; a step-daughter, Marguriette Tabor of Houston, Tex.; five brothers, Otis Gandy of
Many, Charlie Gandy of DeRidder, John Gandy of Shreveport, and Edward and Bob Gandy, both
of Houston; five sisters, Betty Peterson and Joy Carter, both of Many, Lola Duggan and
Carrie Hammerick, both of Shreveport, and Geraldine Morris of Houston; 12 grandchildren;
and 9 great-grandchildren.

  Services were held at Hornbeck Bible Baptist Church, July 13, with interment at Little
Flock Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Officiating were Rev.
E. W. Lord, and Rev. Wayne Reed. The grandsons served as pallbearers.
