Mr. Gauntt is survived by his widow, Mrs. Edith Gauntt, Noble; two sons, Doug Gauntt, and Weyland Gauntt, both of Noble; a daughter, Mrs. Sue Strickland, Anacoco; a sister, Edith Blood, Athens, Tex.; and 3 grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the Noble Baptist Church Sunday, Sept. 15, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Charles Duncan, and Dr. Arnold Nelson officiating. Burial was in the Noble Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Leland Elliott, E. C. Marshall, Charles Maxie, Troy Webb, Ray Dean Glover, George Glover, Jack Anderson, and Morris Brandon.
