Newton Gandy

  Newton Edward Gandy, 67, died Monday, July 12, in San Augustine,
Tex.

  Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Wednesday, in Wyman Roberts
Funeral Home, with the Rev. R. C. Hammock officiating. Burial was
in McMahan Cemetery.

  Survivors are one daughter, Mrs., Sue Poss of San Augustine; one
son, Newton Clayton Gandy of Houston; three sisters, Mrs. Betty
Peterson of Many, La., Mrs. Geraldine LaBauie of New Iberia, La.,
and Mrs. Carrie Hamrick of Shreveport, La.; four brothers, Otis
Gandy of Many, Charlie Gandy of Lake Charles, La., John Gandy of
Shreveport, and Robert Gandy of Houston; and three grandchildren.
