Major Gandy

  Major William Gandy, 62, of Leesville, died Friday, Sept. 2.

  Services were at 2 p.m., in the Mayna Church of God, with the
Rev. Lloyd Trisler, and Marion Trisler, Jr., officiating. Burial
was in the Palo Alto Cemetery, Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of
Jena in charge.

  Survivors include his widow; one son, Larry Gandy of Leesville;
one stepson, Charles White of Leesville; three brothers, Otis
Gandy of Robeline, Henry Gandy of Hazelhurst, Miss., and Oscar
Gandy of Boyce; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian McBride of Boulder
City, Nev., and Mrs. Alice Thompson of Leesville.
