John Melvin Gandy

  Services for John Melvin Gandy of Many, were held on Monday,
June 27, 1983, at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many. Rev.
William Crosby officiated. Burial was at Fort Jesup Cemetery.

  Mr. Gandy died Saturday night, June 25, at Sabine Medical
Center. He was a lifelong resident of Sabine Parish, and a
retired Postal Service employee.

  Survivors include his wife, Belle Alford Gandy, Many; one
daughter, Evelyn Gandy Noles, Mansfield; granddaughter, Amy Noles
Dorroh, Mansfield; a grandson, Russell Noles, Beaumont, Texas;
two brothers, Edd Gandy, and Elmer Gandy of Many; and a sister,
Mae Gandy of Many.

  Pallbearers were Truman Alford, Troy Britt, Otis Jones, Willie
Hayes, Norman Knippers, and Russell Noles.
