Officiating was the Rev. Bobby Dye. Burial followed in the Beulah Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mrs. Gandy died Sunday, August 25, at the Seventh Ward General Hospital in Hammond. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William H. (JoAnn) Milburn of Hammond; one son, W. R. Gandy of Many; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Love, and Mrs. Monda Nelson; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Mrs. Gandy was preceded in death by her husband. W. O. Gandy; four sisters, Cora Wedgeworth, Flora Wedgeworth, Ethel Gandy, Nancy Dew; and six brothers, Lester Pilcher, Reece Pilcher, Sam Pilcher, Joe Donald Pilcher, Randall Pilcher, and John Pilcher. Pallbearers were Wayne Pilcher, Troy Wedgeworth, Samuel Pilcher, Quinton Dew, Weldon Blanco, Shannon Gandy, and alternate Rodney Gandy.
