Bob Boyt, and Rev. W. A. Massey officiating. Interment was at Middle Creek Cemetery in Florien, at 3 p.m., with Rev. Larry DeLoach officiating. Mrs. Gandy, the daughter of the late Truett H. and Fleta Addison Williams, was born on August 15, 1925, in Pasadena, Tex., and died Monday, July 8, 1996, at her residence in Grayson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Hoyt Gandy. Mrs. Gandy was retired from Caldwell Bank and Trust Co., with 25 years of service. Robbie lived the life of a dedicated pastor's wife, with her devotion to the Kelly Baptist Church, where Hoyt Gandy surrendered to the ministry in the early sixty's. As a faithful Christian, Robbie was the teacher for the adult women's Sunday School class, a choir member, as well as administering spirituality to those in need. Retirement enabled Robbie to enjoy the adventure of travel. In her home life, she found pleasure in gardening, crafts, and reading. Her life in the community was rich with many friendships. Her love, devotion, and presence will be missed by all. Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Gandy of Austin, Tex.; brother and sister-in-law, Truett and Peggy Williams of Florien; sister-in-law, Helen Self of Monroe, and Geneva Neel of Shreveport; brother-in-law, Carl Gandy of Converse; ten nieces and nephews, as well as other family and friends. Pallbearers were Ricky Rollins, Gerald Carter, Doug Carter, Paul Carter, Andy Anderson, and John Wayne Albritton. Memorials may be made to the Kelly Baptist Church.
