All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/la/lafiles.htm ************************************************ Samuel Vincent Gandy Jr. Funeral services for Samuel Vincent Gandy Jr., 75, were held Friday, Nov. 8, 1996, at 10 a.m. Interment was at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Okla. Mr. Gandy was a graduate of Fisher High school. He served three years in the U.S. Marine Corps, in the South Pacific. After the war, he graduated from the University of Oklahoma, with a degree in Geology. He spent many years in Louisiana, working in the oil industry, retiring in 1970. He is survived by two daughters, Camela Willis, and Janice Gandy, both of Vinita, Okla.; two grandsons, Dwayne Willis, and Gary Willis; two great grandchildren; three sisters, Corine G. Marek of Lake Charles, Vonciel G. Kickel of Baton Rouge, and Odeal G. Jenkins of Many; and three nieces, Gloria Green, Coco Marek, and Dale Jones.
