Funeral services were conducted Oct. 7, at Zion Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lynn Hawkins, and the Rev. Perry Lassiter officiating. Burial was in Zion Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Annie Cade of Bossier City; three sons, Dan H. Gandy of New Orleans, Herbert Gandy, and Martin Gandy, both of Many; eight daughters, Mrs. L. S. Tompkins of Hollywood, Fla., Mrs. J. R. David of Orlando, Fla., Mrs. Fletcher Morris of Birmingham, Ala., Miss Edna Gandy of Shreveport, Mrs. Annie Thurman of Gibsland, Mrs. J. T. Patrick of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Evelyn Patrick, and Mrs. N. F. Nabours, both of Many; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Douglas Patrick, Bruce Gandy, Douglas Curtis, Gene Wright, W. L. Sandel, J. S. Salter, and W. M. Cummings.
