Mrs. E. Gandy

  Funeral services were held Friday, July 26, in the Oakhill
Baptist Church in Many, for Mrs. Elma Alford Gandy, 72, of
Shreveport.

  Mrs. Gandy died Thursday, July 25, at her residence, after a
long illness.

  A native of Many, she had resided here for 20 years, and was a
member of the First Evangelical Methodist Church.

  Officiating at the services was the Rev. Jack Wease, pastor of
the First Evangelical Methodist Church. Burial was in Oakhill
Cemetery in Many.

  Surviving Mrs. Gandy are a son, Sam V. Gandy Jr. of Alexandria;
three daughters, Mrs. Vonciel Kickel of Shreveport, Mrs. Odeal
Jenkins of Many, and Mrs. Frank Marek of Lake Charles; six
grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
