Marion Newt Gandy

  Last rites for Marion Newt Gandy, age 88, who died Feb. 13, was
conducted at Beulah Baptist Church, at 11 a.m., Feb. 15, with
Rev. Earl Warren officiating. Interment was in the church
cemetery, under the direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Survivors are seven sons, Vince of Leesville, C. P. of Hornbeck,
W. O. of Ft. Worth, Buddy of Houston, Charlie of Lake Charles,
John Riley of Shreveport, Bob of Houston; five daughters, Mrs.
Bettie Peterson, and Mrs. Joy Carter, both of Many, Mrs. Lola
Duggan, and Mrs. Carrie Hamrick, both of Shreveport, Mrs.
Geraldine Morris of New Iberia; 34 grandchildren; 53 great
grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
