S. V. Gandy

  Funeral services were held Oct. 5, for S. V. Gandy, 67, who
passed away in Leesville suddenly.

  The services were held in the Oak Hill Baptist Church, with the
Rev. Earl Warren officiating.

  Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Warren
Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elma Gandy of Shreveport; three
daughters, Mrs. Odeal Jenkins of Many, Mrs. F. H. Marek of Lake
Charles, Mrs. John Kickel of Shreveport; six brothers, Clarence
Gandy of Hornbeck, Otis Gandy of Fort Worth, Charlie Gandy of
Lafayette, N. E. Gandy of Houston, Robert Gandy of Houston, John
Gandy of Shreveport; five sisters, Mrs. Betty Peterson of Many,
Mrs. Lola Duggan of Shreveport, Mrs. Carrie Homrick of
Shreveport, Mrs. Joy Carter of Many, Mrs. Geraldine Carter of New
Iberia; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

  Pallbearers were Harry, Walker, J. C. Morris, and Bobby Ray
Tarpley, Luther Williams, Wiley Wedgeworth, and Charlie Cook.
