Gentry, 76, died in Many, Saturday, June 27, at 7:29 p.m., after an extended illness. Funeral services were held Monday, June 29, at 10 a.m., in the Many United Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Bill white officiating. Interment was in the Fender Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Essie Gentry of Many; 10 sons, Marshall J. Gentry of Nederland, Tex., Kevin U. Gentry of Zwolle, Robert G. Gentry of Casper, Wyoming, Jimmy D. Gentry of Fisher, Steve L. Gentry of West Monroe, Donald W. Gentry of Monroe, Williams O. Gentry of New Iberia, and G. W. Gentry, Lloyd Gentry, and Johnnie M. Gentry, all of Many; four daughters, Margaret Gentry of Oak Grove, Alice Rush of Zwolle, Hazel Peveto of Rusk, Tex., and Annie Taylor of Rochester, Wisc.; three half brothers, Ivason Gentry, and L. C. Gentry of Vidor, Tex., and Edmond Gentry of Lufkin, Tex.; six half sisters, Mrs. Larue Baldwin, Mrs. Grace Brock, and Mrs. Margie Tarver, all of Lufkin, Tex., Mrs. Lavenia Stanley of Longview, Tex., Mrs. Alta Whitaker of Porter, Tex., and Mrs. Lottie Dotson, Pasadena, Tex.; 37 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, friends, and loved ones.
