Mrs. Nettie Gentry

  Graveside services for Mrs. Nettie Gentry, 89, of Mansfield,
were held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, August 20, at Centuries Memorial
Park Cemetery in Shreveport, under the direction of Wellman
Funeral Home of Shreveport. The Rev. Doug Burnley, pastor of
Janet Lane Baptist Church, officiated.

  Mrs. Gentry, a homemaker, died Sunday, August 17, 1986, at
Heritage Manor Nursing Home, after a long illness. She was born
in Leesville, La., and was a lifelong resident of the Mansfield
area. She was of Methodist affiliation.

  She is survived by two sons, Carlton Gentry of Grand Cane, and
Bruce Gentry of Shreveport; two daughters, Ponee Kaufman of
Shreveport, and Marceline Houston of Shreveport; one brother,
Jessie Eaves of Belmont; 18 grandchildren; 18 great
grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a number of nieces
and nephews.
