Services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, Sept. 12, at St. John Catholic Church, with interment following at St. John Cemetery. Father John Pardue officiated. Survivors include one son, James Gordon and Edith Mitchell of Magnolia, Ark.; three daughters, Syble Lanell and Don Spann of Tyler, Texas, Teresa Ann Camp of Lake Charles, and Mary Elizabeth and Pat Merritt of Many; four sisters, Annie Conley of Shreveport, Nettie Murl Farmer and Willie Cleve LeBlanc, both of West Lake, and Janey Simpson of Many; two brothers, Jerome DeLatin, and Herman DeLatin, both of Stonewall; 17 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a host of friends. Mrs. Gentry was preceded in death by her husband, James Mervin Mitchell; and one great grandson, Trey Pascal Merritt. Warren Meadows, Many, La.
