The Rev. William Hassan, Don Winn and the Rev. Ray Dyess officiated. Interment was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Jeffery Anders, Jason Sheppkoff, Benji Keyser, Joe Keyser II, Trey Alford, Bert Thompson, Dale Moore, Ray Alien, Earl Denning and Odis Faust. There was a host of honorary pallbearers. Mr. Gray, a teacher/coach in Sabine Parish, died Saturday, April 8 from injuries sustained in an accident. Survivors include his daughter, Jannah Collins Gray of Robeline; his mother, Mildred Anders Alien of Robeline; two sisters, Regina Keyser and husband, Joe and Kathy Jo Alford, all of Natchitoches; two brothers, Greg Alien and wife, Betty of Bossier City and Ted Alien and wife, Lolette of Robeline; four nieces, Aimee and Carrie Alien, Joselyn Alford and Monique Saucier; three nephews, Benji Keyser, Little Joe Keyser and Trey Alford; two great nieces, Blair and Brittany Keyser; his wife of 14 years, Janet Gray; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mr. Gray was born May 2, 1946 and was raised in the Marthaville/Robeline area. Marthaville has always been his home. He was an All American basketball player for Marthaville High School and was awarded an athletic scholarship to Northwestern State University. At NSU he thrilled hundreds playing ball through the years. He was listed in Sports Illustrated as No. 55 in the nation in field goal percentage. He has coached many children at Many Junior High since 1986. Prior to that he coached at Capt. Shreve in Shreveport. He was a member of the Marthaville First Baptist Church and loved his family, gardening, his flowers and his many, many friends. Warren Meadows Funeral Home Many, La.
