Joseph J. Grappe

  Joseph Jessie Grappe, 55, died Saturday night at his residence,
following a brief illness.

  Mr. Grappe was a native of Many.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, at the Blanchard
Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Carter officiating. Burial was in
the Memory Lawn Cemetery.

  Survivors include his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Bennie Evon
Womack of Omaha, Neb., Mrs. Robbie McDearmont of Shreveport, and
Mrs. Shirley Buckley of Natchotoches; a half-brother, J. C. O'Con
of Shreveport; three half-sisters, Mrs. Lucille McCubbin of Shawnee,
Kan., Mrs. Dolee Frye of Natchitoches, and Mrs. Gene Patterson of
Monahans, Tex.; his mother, Mrs. Ethel Poissot of Natchitoches, and
three grandchildren.
