The Sabine Index - Lee Griffith 
  
  10 Dec 1948 - Lee Griffith, age 72, passed away at the home of 
his daughter, Mrs. Buck Small in Many after a long illness, last 
Friday. Funeral rites were conducted from Calvary Baptist church 
at 2 p.m. Saturday. Interment followed in Fenders cemetery under 
direction Massingill funeral home. 
  
  Negreet Masonic lodge members were in charge of rites at the 
grave. 
  
  Besides Mrs. Small, Mr. Griffith is survived by wife, Mrs. Lee 
Griffith, Many; sons, Edgar Griffith, Kribyville, Texas, Willie 
Griffith, Denver, Col.; daughters, Ms. M. E. Strange, Belmont, 
Mrs. Melvin Clampett, Fresno, Calif., Mrs. R. L. Anderson, Many, 
Mrs. Ted Griffin, Houston, Texas, Mrs. D. L. Rogers, Powell, 
Wyo., and eight grandchildren.
