Mr. George was a retired mill worker at a plywood plant. Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 21 at Lewis Chapel Pentecostal Church in Marthaville with interment following at Mitchell Cemetery in the Mitchell Community near Converse. The Rev. Roland Dwayne George, pastor of Chapel Pentecostal Church in Marthaville, officiated. Survivors include two sons, Glen George and wife Pricilla of Leesville and James George and wife Gaile of Ebarb; three daughters, Betty Perry of Florien, Margaret Barnhardt and husband Nick of Rylie, Texas, and Sally Pennington and husband Howard of Many; one sister, Helen Pugh of Mansfield; one brother, Ray George of Mansfield; 33 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. George was preceded in death by his wife, Bertie Marie George; one son, Albert S. George Jr.; one grandson; two great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter. Pallbearers were Kevin Lewis, Steve Green, Rodney Burr, George Burr, Jerry George and Milton Sepulvado. Rose-Neath Funeral Home Many, La.
