Mrs. Garcie was born Jan. 5, 1908, in Ebarb, to the late Cajetano Tyne Procell, and the late Sarah Jane Miller Procell. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic church. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 28, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with interment following at St. Joseph Cemetery. Father David Richter officiated. Survivors include four daughters and their husbands, Bertie and Dan Culverhouse of Benton, Jane and Willie Britt of Alexandria, Wilma and Robert Valentine of Arlington, Texas, and Frances and Frank Bergeron of Baton Rouge; four sons, Kent Garcie of Bossier City, David Garcie and wife Gwen, and Kenneth Garcie and wife Gena, all of Noble, and Stephen Garcie of Slidell. She was also survived by 39 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Garcie was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Garcie, and a grandson, Kevin Garcie. Pallbearers were grandsons, Charles Arehart, Kent Garcie, Jr., Dr. Alan Valentine, Dr. Michael Bergeron, Phillip Garcie, Gerald Garcie, Jeffery Garcie, and Joshua Garcie, Honorary pallbearers were nephews Gene Garcia, Melvin Garcie, J. L. Garcie, and Johnnie Ray Garcie. Warren Meadows, Many, La.
