The Rev. Clara Sepulvado, pastor of the church, officiated. Burial was at Centuries Memorial Park, under the direction of Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Mr. Garza died at 2:10 a.m., Thursday, September 5, 1985, at his residence, after a long illness. He was born in Natchitoches, La., and had been a resident of Shreveport most of his life. Mr. Garza was retired from the City of Shreveport, and was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Paula P. Garza of Shreveport; two sons, Louis Vazquez of Texarkana, Ark., and Lawrence Garza, Jr. of Bossier City, La.; four daughters, Vera Rodriquez of Blanchard, La., Rosie Morena, Maggie Durst, and Della Souseda of Shreveport; two sisters, Lizzie Rachel of Shreveport, and Maggie Toby Feagan of Many, La.; three brothers, Joseph Garza of Shreveport, Pete Garza of Hollister, Calif., and Jim Toby of Many, La.; 24 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were relatives.
