Father Earl Provenza, pastor. Interment, following military rites, was in St. Joseph Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Garcie, a native of Zwolle, and the last World War I veteran in Sabine Parish, died following a long illness, in Sabine Medical Center in Many, Wednesday, Aug. 12. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Angeline; two daughters, Barbara Lopez, and Annie Ruth Rivers; five sons, James Garcie, Henry Garcie Jr., Joseph David Garcie, Freddie Garcie, all of Zwolle, and Curtis Garcie of Rafort, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Pallbearers were the 3rd and 19th Field Artillery. Honorary pallbearers included Douglas Sepulvado, Simon Leone, Louis J. Sepulvado, Herman Ray Sepulvado, Lane Bush, and J. D. Ebarb.
