Garcie - February 4, 1988 Services for Mr. Earl W. Garcie, 73, of Shreveport were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 1, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel with the Rev. Earl Bealieu, past of St. Catherine's Catholic Church officiating. A rosary was said Sunday, January 31, at 7 p.m. at the Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Burial was at Forest Park West Cemetery. Mr. Garcie died Friday January 29, 1988 at the V. A. Hospital following a lengthy illness. A native of Zwolle, La., he had lived in Shreveport since 1949. He was a machine operator with Beaird Poulan, a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church and a Veteran of the U. S. Navy, having served in World War II. He is survived by five sons, J. W. Garcie of Shreveport, Robert Earl Garcie of Bossier City, Joseph Garcie of Longview, Charles Ray Garcie of West Virginia, George Theodore Garcie of Austin, Texas; one daughter Elizabeth Sterling of Shreveport; one sister Elsie Sepulvado of Zwolle; three brothers, Henry R. Garcie and John M. Garcie, both of Shreveport, Wilford Garcie of Homer, La.; two half-brothers, Tom Garcie and Lee Garcie, both of Zwolle; a number of grandchildren and great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers: Mark Garcie, Michael Fielder, Michael Garcie, Jerry Garcie, Dale Ebarb.
