Garcie, 71, of Noble, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2001, at Sabine Medical Center. He was a veteran, and a carpenter. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 8, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with interment following at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Father David Richter officiated. Survivors include three brothers, Melvin Garcie of Sibley, and Gene Garcie, and Johnny Ray Garcie, both of Zwolle; two sisters, Marie Rivers of Zwolle, and Elma Tucker of Lake Arthur; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Mr. Garcie was preceded in death by his parents, Tom, and Louise Garcie; two brothers, Joseph Garcie, and Clayton Garcie; and one sister, Dorothy Hedgepeth. Pallbearers were Pat Ezernack, Doug Manshack, Kenneth Garcie, Glen Garcie, Michael Garcie, Thomas Garcie, Joe Garcie, and Tommy Garcie. Warren Meadows, Many, La.
