Ruth Estelle George (Photo)

  Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Estelle George, 76, of
Shreveport, were held at 1 p.m., Friday, March 1, 1996, at
Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel in Mansfield. The Rev. Curtis
Spears, pastor of Apostolic Faith, officiated. Burial followed in
Mitchell Cemetery in Mitchell, at 3:30 p.m.

  Mrs. George is survived by her husband, M. G. George Sr. of
Shreveport; three sons, M. G. George Jr. of Frierson, Marion D.
George, and Jerry W. George, both of Shreveport; and one
daughter, Laverne Whitlock of DeBerry, Texas.

  She is also survived by four sisters, Gertrude Bennett of
Mansfield, Thelma Phillips of Shreveport, Lovella Ilses of Oil
City, and Marie Antee of Florien; three brothers, Garthel L. Burr
of Mansfield, Walter L. Burr of Hemphill, Texas, and Medford Burr
of Zwolle; nine grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Aaron Lolley, Eric Lolley, Kevin Whitlock,
Harold Scott, Larry George, and Byron Antee.
