Gardner Funeral services for Robert Morris Gardner, 50, of Shreveport, were held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, in the Marshall Street Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, with the Rev. Billy Pierce, pastor of Ford Park Baptist Church, and the Rev. Benny McBride, associate pastor of Ford Park Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden. Mr. Gardner died Monday, April 5, in Willis-Knighton Hospital, after a short illness. A native of Higgins, Okla., he had lived in Shreveport 23 years. He was a self-employed automobile body repairman, and an Air Force Veteran of World War II. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ada Gardner of Shreveport; a son, Edwin Lee Gardner of Stockton, Calif.; a stepson, Ted Morris of Bossier City; two daughters, Mrs. Bobbie Ann Eldsmoe, and Mrs. Lowana Sherry Galbreath, both of California; three sisters, Mrs. Pat Morgan of Zwolle, Mrs. Sue Lucot of Stockton, Calif., and Mrs. Betty Canote of Elk Grove, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
