(Billy) Green Funeral services for William E. (Billy) Green, 71, of Bossier City, will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hwy 80 East, Bossier City, on Wednesday, June 26, 1996, at 2 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Lane Moore, associate pastor of Waller Baptist Church, where Mr. Green was a member. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. He entered into rest on Sunday, June 23, at Bossier Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Green was born in Arcadia, raised in Minden, and has lived in Bossier City since 1946. He was a retired senior clerk with the U.S. Post Office, a veteran of WWII, a member of the Caddo Lodge #179 F&AM, and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. Mr. Green was preceded in death by his daughter, Ethel Green Scott. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Evelyn C. Green; five sisters, Estelle Harris, Loyce Gamble, Creola Barber, Sybil Bell, and Pamez McKenzie and James, all of Minden; two brothers, James L. Green of Shreveport, and Robert Leo Green and wife Marie of Minden; three sisters-in-law, Reba Hyatt of Florien, Welma Poynter of Bossier, Alice Griffith of Philadelphia, Pa.; one brother-in-law, Gordon O. Cook of Many; also survived by three grandchildren, Patricia Wilkinson, Evelyn Renee Scott, and Tommie Rodgers; and four great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the nurses at Bossier Medical Center, I.C.U. and Dr. John Brandy, and Dr. Potter for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
