Edmond J. Giering Jr.

  Edmond Jacob Giering Jr., 68, of Natchitoches, died Wednesday,
April 25, in a local hospital, after a short illness.

  The funeral was held at 3 p.m., in the Church of the Immaculate
Conception, with the Rev. Wilbur Cloutier officiating. Burial was
Friday, April 27, in Memory Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of
Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Teresa Giering of
Natchitoches; three sons, Edmond J. Giering III of West Monroe,
Francis O. Giering, and David A. Lee, both of Natchitoches; two
daughters, Katherine Giering of Metairie, and Melanie Lee of
Shreveport; and seven grandchildren.
