Mrs. Emma Truss Grantham

  Services for Mrs. Emma Truss Grantham, 68, of Converse, were
held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 5, at Drewett Memorial Chapel in
Mansfield, La. Dr. Shelton Young, and the Rev. R. G. Bynog
officiated. Burial was at Shiloh Cemetery in Converse.

  Mrs. Graham, a housewife, and a lifelong resident of the
Converse area, died Tuesday, July 3, 1984, at Huey P. Long
Memorial Hospital in Pineville, La., after a short illness.

  She is survived by her husband, Marian M. Grantham of Converse;
one son, Bernard Grantham of Hubbard, Ohio; two daughters,
Bernice Surles of Fayetteville, N. C., and Nelwyn Butts of
Bossier City, La.; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a
half sister, Minnie Gray of Houston, Texas.
