James Archie Grant

  Funeral services for James Archie Grant, 66, of Slagle, who died
Saturday, Jan. 30, in the War Memorial Hospital in Leesville,
were held Monday, in the Silver Creek Church, with the Rev. F. M.
Belsha officiating. Burial was in the Silver Creek Cemetery,
under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.

  He is survived by his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Word
of Jersey City, N. J., Mrs. Dorothy Beterly of Toledo, Ohio, Mrs.
Gailkin of Birmingham, Ala.; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Stephens of
Slagle, Miss Pearl Alford of Many, Mrs. Thelma Monk of Leesville;
four brothers, Frank O. Grant of Monroe, Garland Grant of
Shreveport, Ted Kay Grant, and Fred Grant, both of Leesville; 11
grandchildren.
