Lejoy (Doug) Garner

  Funeral services for Lejoy (Doug) Garner, were held on Saturday,
Nov. 8, at 2 p.m., at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church. The Rev.
L. D. Davis officiated.

  Garner, who was born on April 11, 1906, in Many, died on
Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Many Hospital.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Annie Garner; two sons, Jessie
Garner of Kansas City, Mo., and Linous Megellan Garner of Baton
Rouge; tow daughters, Mrs. Vera Fredericks of Kansas City, Mo.,
and Mrs. Dorothy Johnson of Baton Rouge; one brother, Robert
Garner of Many; two sisters, Mrs. Celeste Hightower, and Mrs.
Inez Newton, both of Many; 17 grandchildren; 20 great
grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

  Burial was in the New Jerusalem Cemetery, under the direction of
the Jenkins funeral Home.
