J. D. Edmonson, and the late Sis. Dessie Lee Edmonson. She departed this life February 20, 2001, at Willis-Knighton Medical Center. Meshell confessed Christ at an early age, and was united with Redland Baptist Church until death. She was also a 1982 graduate of Negreet High School, and attended LTC-Sabine Valley Campus. She was united in Holy Matrimony on July 23, 1982, to Bro. Roy Lee Garner, and to this union, three children were born. Meshell leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Bro. Roy Lee Garner; one daughter, Sis. LaJuana Monique Garner; two sons, Bro. Roy O'Brian Garner, and Bro. Zachery Adam Garner; one stepson, Bro. Roylando Slate; a loving father, Bro. J. D. Edmonson; father-in-law, Bro. Glennon Garner; two sisters, Pearl A. Maxie of Florien, and Sis. Dorothy Johnson, preceded her in death. Seven brothers, Rev. Danny Edmonson Sr., Bro. Floyd Edmonson of Florien, Bro. Derry Edmonson, Bro. Delton Edmonson, of Many, Bro. Curtis Edmonson of San Antonio, Tex., Bro. James Edmonson, and Bro. Willie Edmonson of Houston, Tex., a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
