Rev. C. L. Raney officiated. Interment was in New Jerusalem Cemetery, under the direction of Thomas Mortuary. Mrs. Garner passed away March 28, 1995, in Shreveport. Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ann Boddie; and one brother, Benny Boddie. Survivors include mother and father, Zulie Maxie and H. D. White; six children, Shirley Percy of Houma, Calvin Garner, Dennis Wayne Garner, Roy Lee Garner, Sheritta Garner, and Tracy Garner, all of Many; nine sisters, Georgia Garner, Audrey Smith, and Rena Boddie, all of Many, Willie Faye Byrd, Brenda White, Beverly Hill, and Gwen Hall, all of Florien, Nellie Kennedy of Houston, and JoAnn Hogue of Detroit, Michigan; five brothers, Robert Boddie of Many, Harvey white of Florien, Lenton Boddie of Greenview, Texas, Earl Whit, and Alvin White, both of Lake Charles; and a special friend, Emeal Williams; ten grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Pallbearers were James Williams, Tim Smith, George Joseph, Thomas Joseph, Floyd Thomas, Danny Thomas, John Thomas, Arthur Lewis, and Lopez Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Deacons of Bethel Baptist Church, and sons, Calvin Garner, Dennis Garner, Roy Lee garner, and Tracy Garner.
