P. M. Garner

  P. M. Garner, 90, of Rt. 1, Florien, died at his home, Jan. 26,
after a lengthy illness.

  Mr. Garner was a native of Sabine Parish. He was a member of the
Ebenezer Baptist Church.

  Funeral services were conducted February 1, at 1 p.m., at the
New Jerusalem Baptist church in Many. Interment was in the
Masonic Cemetery.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Minnie Garner; two daughters,
Mrs. N. L. Lacy Sr. of Shreveport, and Mrs. Earnestine Nelson of
Colfax; two sons, T. J. Garner of Many, and Clarence Garner of
Detroit, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Aver Lilly; five grandchildren;
and nine great grandchildren.
