He was a member of the Baptist church, being 79 years of age, having been born in Claiborne parish March 3, 1872. Surviving relatives include the widow, Mrs. W. J. Greer, Pleasant Hill; sons, T. W. and W. C. Greer, Oil City, A. L. Greer, Pleasant Hill, A. E. Greer, Shreveport; daughters, Mrs. L. C. Rogers, Hobbs, N. M., Mrs. J. B. Arie, New Orleans, Mrs. George English, Pasadena, Texas, Mrs. Anise Simpson, New Orleans, brothers, Joe, F. G., R. W., and T. P. Greer, all of Many, M. A. and J. W. Greer, both of Pleasant Hill, A. J. Greer, Zwolle; sisters, Mrs. H. M. James, Houston, Texas, Mrs. W. H.
