James D. Greer

  James D. Greer, 57, of Shreveport, died on Wednesday, Aug. 29,
at 5 a.m., after an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 30, at 3 p.m., in the
Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Willis Greer
officiating. Burial followed in the Bethsadia Cemetery.

  Survivors include one son, Billy Greer of Tule Lake, Calif.; two
daughters, Eloise Salas of Redding, Calif., and Betty Jane Greer,
also of Redding, Calif.; his mother, Mrs. Evie Greer of Many; two
brothers, R. B. Greer of Many; and Waple Greer of Monroe; three
sisters, Maggie Adams of Dallas, Tex., Iona Franklin of Many, and
Pauline Skinner of Natchitoches; and one grandchild.
