Greer Services for Mr. James A. Greer, 64, of Mansfield, were held Monday, October 25, at 11:30 a.m., at Drewett Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Alfred Mitchell, and assisted by Rev. O. M. Greer. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Belmont. Arrangements were under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home, Mansfield. Mr. Greer died Saturday, October 23, 1982, in Shreveport, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Greer was born in Sabine Parish, and had lived in Mansfield since 1950. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ruby E. Greer, Mansfield; one son, Randy Greer, Pelican; three daughters, Mrs. Judy Arnold, and Mrs. Janice Fontenot, both of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Kove Harris, Cincinnati, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Ida Walden, and Mrs. Jackie Valentine, both of Shreveport, Mrs. Mae Adams, Mansfield, and Mrs. Maurice Allwood, St. Louis, Missouri; two brothers, Preston Greer, and Rev. O. M. Greer, both of Many; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers are Benoid Temple, Terrel Temple, Neil Callendar, Herbie Jon Pease, Bill Hugnes, and Robert Blalock.
