Willis Marbury Greer, 67, of Many, died in the Fraser Hospital North, on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 5:45 p.m., after a sudden illness. Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m., in the Friendship Baptist Church, with the Rev. Earl Marr officiating. Interment will be in the Friendship Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Rev. Greer is survived by his widow, Mrs. Shirley Greer of Many; one daughter, Charlotte Veuleman of Many; one son, Marbury Greer of Many; three brothers, W. L. Greer, and Gilbert Greer of Shreveport, and Hoyt Greer of Idaho Springs, Colorado; two sisters, Lucille Lilly of Pleasant Hill, and Ruth Tucker of Shreveport; three grandsons; two granddaughters, and one great grandchild. Brother Greer served 52 years as a Baptist minister before retiring. Active pallbearers are Glen Marr, Steve Spears, Kenneth Leach, Hoy Leach, Henry Tramel, Louis Skinner, Truitt Alford, Houston Tibbitts, Jerry Arther, A. J. Dupree, Farrell Marr, Elton Mitchell, and Mr. Campbell. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Palmer, Junior Palmer, James Greer, Sonny Greer, Rudolph Greer, Larry Greer, Roy Greer, Clifton Greer, and Otha Greer.
