John Wesley Greer

  Funeral services were held Thursday, August 15, at 3 p.m., for
John Wesley Greer, 76, who passed away after an extended illness
in Zwolle.

  The services were held at Mount Zion Baptist Church, with Rev.
J. C. Salley, and Rev. Eugene Saddler officiating. Interment was
in the Mount Zion Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Funeral
Home of Many.

  Survivors include his widow; five sons, Larry, and Wilford Greer
of Marthaville, Clifton Greer of Bernice, Roy Greer of Beaumont,
Texas, and Wilmer Greer of Monroe; one daughter, Mrs. Irene Carr
of Beaumont, Texas; five brothers, Felix, and Tilman Greer of
Many, Joe Greer of Shreveport, Jewell Greer of Zwolle, and Babe
Greer of Pleasant Hill; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Neal of Many;
26 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
