Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vera Hopkins of Florien; two daughters, Mrs. Mavis Broad, and Mrs. Irene Salter, both of Florien; two brothers, Homer Hopkins, and Jeff Hopkins, both of Florien; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Hughes, Mrs. Laura Owens, and Mrs. Lola Owens, all of Many, and Mrs. Maude Pilcher of Zwolle; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Sunday, Feb. 26, with the Rev. Earl Marr, the Rev. Billy Fuller, and the Rev. J. P. King officiating. Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Sunday, Feb. 26, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Pallbearers were Tommy Pilcher, Hoyt Hughes, Malcom Hopkins, J. K. Hopkins, Louis Fraser, and Douglas Youngblood.
