He was born in Natchitoches Parish, and moved to Many at the age of 16. He was a charter member of the Catholic Knights, and served as an alderman on the Town Council of Many for many years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Winnie Davis Hubley; and five sons, and seven daughters, C. J. Hubley, Arcadia, Calif., Charles W. Hubley, Port Arthur, Texas, Grover C. Hubley, Tyler, Texas, Jack L. Hubley, Tyler, Texas, Gene L. Hubley, U.S. Navy, New Iberia, La., Mrs. Emery Guidry, Lafayette, La., Mrs. Max Yarborough, Baton Rouge, La., Mrs. Cullen Dowden, Many, La., Mrs. B. W. Duke, Victoria, Texas, Mrs. John Grembowiec, Houston, Texas, Mrs. Adron Miller, Linten, Texas, Miss Lynn Hubley, Houma, La.; 24 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at St. John's Catholic Church in Many, March 22, at 10:00 a.m. Rosary was at 7:00 p.m., Thursday.
