Hippler 19 Nov 1948 - The Index has been informed that the remains of Pct. Lonnie L. Hippler are due to arrive Wednesday of this week with reburial services to be held at Beulah Baptist church at 11 a.m. Thursday. Pvt. Hippler entered the service Sept. 16, 1943, received his basic training at Camp Walters, Texas, was shipped overseas April 24, 1944, where he saw combat duty in Italy. He gave his life for his country Sept. 17, 1944. Interment will be in Beulah cemetery under direction Massingill funeral home. Surviving relatives include: parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Hippler, Sr., Many; brothers, C. W. Hippler, Fisher, D. E., T. S. Jr., and Raymond Hippler, Many, E. E. Hippler, DeQuincy, J. C. Hippler, New Orleans and N. B. Hippler; sister, Mrs. D. M. Herndon, Longview, Texas.
