Pilcher Hippler, 81, of Deweyville, Texas died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000 at Memorial Herman Baptist Orange Hospital in Orange, Texas. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26 at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange, Texas with interment following at Antioch Cemetery in Buna, Texas. The Rev. Chase Bowers officiated. Hippler was a homemaker. She was a native and former resident of Sabine Parish. She lived in Deweyville 50 years. Survivors include one son, Emmitt Hippler, Jr. of Coldspring, Texas; three daughters, Carol Thompson and Faye Bowers both of Deweyville, Texas and Barbara Lambeth of Alvin, Texas; one sister, Vernon Anderson of Many; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
