Norman Hicks Sr.

  Norman Otto Hicks Sr., 73, died Sunday morning, in the
Natchitoches Parish Hospital.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., in the Robeline Baptist
Church, with Rev. Thurman Williams officiating. He will be
assisted by the Rev. O. H. Prothro. Burial was in the Central
Cemetery, under the direction of the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral
Home of Natchitoches.

  Survivors include his widow; one son, N. O. Hicks Jr. of Jena;
five daughters, Mrs. Nelwyn Hicks, and Mrs. Elizabeth Louviere,
both of Lake Charles, Mrs. Mildred Thomas of Benton, Mrs. Jo Anne
Cross of Shreveport, and Mrs. Dottie Matthews of Natchitoches;
two sisters, Mrs. Alverta Nebut of Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. Kate
Mallett of Marthaville; one brother, L. E. Hicks of Allen; 17
grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
