James Harrison Hicks Sr.

  James Harrison Hicks Sr., 75, of Many, died Thursday, Sept. 13,
at the Natchitoches Parish Hospital.

  Services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 15, at the
Blanchard-St. Denis Chapel, with the Rev. Joe McClain, and the
Rev. D. R. Dean officiating. Burial followed in the American
Cemetery in Natchitoches.

  Survivors included his wife, Loree Hicks of Many; one son, James
Harrison Hicks Jr., also of Many; two daughters, Mrs. Howard
Morrow of Beaumont, Tex., and Mrs. George Gerlach; two sisters,
Mrs. Lorraine Glass of Natchitoches, and Mrs. J. T. Stewart of
Houston, Tex.; one brother, A. W. Hicks of Shreveport, and his
mother, Mrs. Sue Hicks of Natchitoches; 6 grandchildren, and 7
great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were George Gerlach, Howard Morrow, L. O. Foster, J.
H. Wilkerson, Joe Stewart, and David Stewart.
