George E. Hicks

  George E. Hicks, 57, of Converse, died Thursday night, Feb. 28,
at his residence, after a sudden illness.

  Services were at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 1, in First Baptist
Church, with Dr. Sidney Young officiating. Burial followed in
Converse Cemetery.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mildred Hicks of Converse; one
son, John Hicks of Shreveport; one stepson, Michael McDonald of
Shreveport; and two grandchildren.
