John Lee Hayes

  Funeral services were held at the Warren Meadows Funeral Home
Chapel on Sunday, Oct. 16, at 12:30 p.m., for Mr. John Lee Hayes,
82 years of age. The Rev. Larry Laurent officiated at the
services. Burial was in the Warren Cemetery, under the direction
of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Surviving Mr. Hayes is his wife, Mrs. Zarah Hayes of Many; two
sons, James Hayes of Florien, and Bobby Hayes of Gonzales; three
daughters, Thedo Mitchell of Mansfield, Sue Ashby of Blanchard,
La., and Loletta Mitchell of Many; four brothers, Jeff Hayes, Sam
Hayes, and Rufus Hayes of Many, and Theodore Hayes of Beaumont,
Tex.; five sisters, Katy Oxley, Gracie Blackman, Rozena Bell, and
Edna McComic of Many, and Delila Blackman of Vidor, Tex.; 13
grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

  Mr. Hayes died in the Schumpert Medical Hospital on October 15,
at 3 p.m., after a short illness.
