Burial was in Monk Cemetery. Thomas Mortuary was in charge of services. She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving husband, Mr. Emel Hicks; four daughters, Alice Kinney, Anita Porter, Vivian Thomas, and Sandra Hicks; and one son, James Hicks; her mother, Mrs. Eula Smith, and step father, Mr. Lopezia Smith Sr., all of Many; six sisters, Mrs. Virginia Carroll of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Branda Pujoue of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Betty Williams, Mrs. Catherine White, Mrs. Delores Aldredge, and Mrs. Doris Faye Aldrege, all of Many; six brothers, Mr. Levorn Davis of Oakdale, Mr. Samuel A. Smith of San Antonio, Tex., Mr. Loezia Smith Jr., Mr. Samuel Aldredge, and Mr. Jeffery Aldredge, all of Many, and Mr. Napoleon Aldredge of Long Beach, Calif.; and a godson, Levorne Enite. She is preceded in death by one sister, Miss Irma Smith; and her father Mr. Reecie Aldredge. Mrs. Hicks is also survived by her ten sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law; three sons-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and other relatives and friends.
