Officiating was the Rev. Price Harris, associate pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. Burial followed in Forest Park Cemetery. Mrs. Hicks died Wednesday, October 31, at her residence, following an extended illness. She was born in Fordyce, Arkansas, was a former resident of Shreveport most of her life, and a resident of Converse for seven years. Mrs. Hicks was a homemaker, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, L. H. Hicks of Converse; three sons, Charles E. Hicks and wife Darlene of Shreveport, Barry Hicks and wife Linda of Dillon, Montana, and Tommy Hicks and wife Denise of Shreveport; one daughter, Frances Hicks Phillips and husband Mike of Shreveport; two sisters, Ellen Wilson of Houston, Texas, and Ruby Addison of Shepherd, Texas; one brother, W. T. Rowland of Shreveport; eleven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Russell Hicks, Gary Hicks, Curtis Clark, Randy Hicks, Kenny Phillips, and Charles Eisel.
