President Breman W. Baker, and Charles F. Cagle officiated. Interment followed at Many Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Hayes died Thursday, June 20, in Doctor's Hospital, Shreveport, La. He is survived by his wife, Eloise Hayes of Many; three sons, Bill Hayes of Alexandria, Stan Hayes of Robeline, and Eric Hayes of Many; two daughters, Judy Vincent of Many, and Jill Burch of Pineville; one sister, Nelwyn Bush of Opelousas; two bothers, James F. Hayes of Zwolle, and W. E. Hayes of Many; 17 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Brent Vincent, Chad Vincent, Kevin Leone, Paul Hayes, Herman Primm, Robert Johnson, Steve Hayes, and Terry Foster. Honorary pallbearers were Jared Vincent, Brandon Burch, Luke Burch, Adam Burch, Todd Hayes, Wesley Hayes, and Britt Hayes. Mr. Hayes served in his church from 1950 - 1955, as a member of Many Branch Presidency, 1956 - 1957, District Elders Tuorum in North Louisiana District, Jan 1958 - June 1963, served as first Bishop of the Many Ward, 1963 - 1968, served as clerk, and Sunday School President, 1969 - Aug. 1977, a member of the Shreveport Stake Presidency, 1978 - 1991, served in the Alexandria Stake on the High Council, Stake Sunday School President, and in the local Many Ward as Sunday School President, and Elder's Tuorum President. Mr. Hayes couched Little League for many years, and worked with the youth in the sports program of the Church many years.
